Integrate QuickBooks, Xero, and other accounting software with TuskCPA
Connecting your existing tools eliminates double data entry and keeps everything in sync automatically.
Available Integrations
Quick Start: Connect QuickBooks Online
Step 1: Navigate to Integrations
Go to Settings → Integrations → Accounting Software → QuickBooks Online
Step 2: Click "Connect to QuickBooks"
You'll be redirected to Intuit's secure authorization page
Step 3: Authorize Access
Log in to QuickBooks and click "Connect" to authorize TuskCPA
TuskCPA will only access the companies you explicitly authorize
Step 4: Configure Sync Settings
Choose what data to sync (clients, transactions, invoices, etc.) and how often
Common Integration Questions
Do I need to connect accounting software?
No, it's optional. TuskCPA works standalone, but integrations save time by eliminating manual data entry and keeping everything in sync.
Can I connect multiple QuickBooks companies?
Yes! Connect unlimited QuickBooks Online companies. Perfect for firms managing multiple clients.
Is my data safe when connecting?
Absolutely. We use OAuth 2.0 (the same standard used by Google, Facebook, etc.). We never see your QuickBooks password, and you can revoke access anytime.
What if I use QuickBooks Desktop?
QuickBooks Desktop integration requires the Web Connector utility. Contact tuskcpa@gmail.com for setup assistance.
Can I connect both QuickBooks and Xero?
Yes, if you manage clients using different accounting platforms. Each client in TuskCPA can be connected to their own accounting software.
Troubleshooting Connection Issues
"Connection Failed" Error
Try disconnecting and reconnecting. Go to Settings → Integrations → [Your Software] → Disconnect, then reconnect.
Data Not Syncing
Check sync settings. Some data types may be disabled. Also verify you have admin permissions in your accounting software.
Authorization Expired
Accounting software connections require periodic re-authorization (typically every 6-12 months). Simply click "Reauthorize" when prompted.
Disconnecting Integrations
To disconnect an integration:
- 1. Go to Settings → Integrations
- 2. Find the connected service
- 3. Click "Disconnect"
- 4. Confirm disconnection
Your TuskCPA data remains intact. Only the automatic sync stops.
